I was motoring home from a weekend canoe trip with old friends. I left our campsite on the Au Sable River in time to catch a couple of hours of late afternoon light. Per usual I was taking two lane country roads and driving irritatingly slow in the hope of getting one more �keeper� photograph. My wish was granted when up ahead I saw a field of flowering sunflowers. The weathered shack, stratus sky, and picture perfect maple sealed the deal. I grabbed my Linhof Technica and chose to use its optional 6X8 roll film holder so I could easily bracket the shot and try a number of optimizing options.
