Freewheeler metal print by Kris Rasmusson. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

On Leonard Street in Grand Rapids there is a bike shop that is second to none. Freewheeler has been involved with BMX bikes since Day One. They will also custom build any bike you want and sell everything from tandem to mountain to folding to city bikes. The window display with its motley assemblage of shapes and colors is what caught my attention. I setup my tripod mounted Linhof across the street in front of the YMCA. For this nighttime shot I wanted everything in focus which meant I needed a tiny aperture with requisite long exposure. This required a gap of at least ten seconds between the cars buzzing by on the busy street. As it turned out I ended up having the oncoming traffic, from both directions, adding to the illumination of the bike shop with their head lights. This was an unexpected bonus. When I optimized the image with Photoshop I decided to use selective colorization to add emphasis to the colorful store window as well as the warmish room lights that illuminated the apar...
