The west shore of Old Mission Peninsula has fabulous views of Grand Traverse Bay, especially late in the day. On a late September afternoon I was motoring my way back into town after an afternoon at Old Mission Point when, out of the corner of my eye, I spied an awesome view of the great Bay framed by Adirondack chairs in the foreground and an azure blue sky above. The elements of this Pure Michigan composition, as well as the lighting, were fleeting and so I grabbed my handy Nikon FE3 with Reala film and quickly squeezed off the shot. Minutes later I was enjoying an early dinner at Ruby Tuesday’s, confident I had put mood to film.
