Officially called ‘Saugatuck Dunes State Park’, the 1,120 acre Michigan state park is located on Lake Michigan between the towns of Saugatuck and Holland. Its two mile long beachfront has stunning views of primal sand dunes, both grassy and wooded. I got this photo with my Linhof Technika 4 X 5 film camera. The view is looking north. In the distance, jutting out into Lake Michigan, can be seen Holland’s Big Red lighthouse. I used the ‘selective colorization’ technique to lightlight the iconic lighthouse.
