Hi Jim, Love the retro look of this one.

Artist's Description

Throughout Kentucky can be found Sonic Drive-Ins. Perhaps the most photogenic one is in Munfordville. I was lucky to be there just after a rain storm had blessed the parking lot with a wondrous mirror finish. This photo won 'Sam Afendoulis Memorial award' in Festival 2009. This award is in memory of the late Sam Afendoulis who was a Grand Rapids icon who owned a number of businesses including the city's first fast food restaurant. I'm told that Sam championed the whole idea of citizens being able to get a quick meal. His surviving loved ones who selected the award winner were confident Sam would have liked my photo "Munfordville Sonic Drive-In".

I have a whole portfolio of 'urban nightscapes' with many of the photos being of fast food restaurants and stores.
