After spending most of the day at Silver Lake Dunes we motored on over to Little Point Sable Light in the hope of getting a notable photo or two of the iconic lighthouse while the sun was setting. It was the Summer Solstice day, June 20, and we knew the sun was setting just after 9pm. We got there with just a few minutes to spare and both Kris and I squeezed off a couple shots of the lighthouse and then split up to venture to our very own feng shui spots. On that day mine was about half way up the dune where the winds had made an undulating plateau, sort of a respite before the big climb to the top. Catching my breath, I turned and faced the lake to check out the setting sun. At the water�s edge were a group of nine people silhouetted against the rippling lake. It looked like they were four couples and a teenage boy. They were obviously excited and delighted to share the experience of a beautiful Lake Michigan sunset on this longest day of the year.
