Artist's Description

I was in Chicagos East Village neighborhood on Paulina Street on the west border of the Noble Square neighborhood. Looking south I could see St. Gregory church to my left and the backside of Our Lady of the Lourdes Parish two blocks away with her beautiful domed roofs. In the distance I could see the skyscrapers of the west side of The Loop. Once home I delved into the photo with my Photoshop pallet and decided to optimize the image with selective colorization giving the sky a diminishing slate-blue gradient and painting the domes with vivid gold.
