One of the things on my Bucket List was to circumnavigate Lake Huron. I knew it had to be done in Winter as I didn’t want to compete with tourists plus I was confident there would be some memorable Winter images to capture with my Linhof Technica. Heading north from my home in Birmingham Michigan it wasn’t difficult to hug the shoreline along the east side of Michigan. Crossing over our Big Mac bridge I headed north through the Upper Peninsula to Sault St. Marie where I crossed over into Canada and jumped onto the Trans Canada Highway. Along the Georgian Bay I had to be content to drive inland most of the time but the scenery did not disappoint with me and my Cherokee taking the occasional back road to capture the winter wonderland. And then, while I was setting up to photograph this image, it happened… MY BELLOWS RIPPED! This would make for terrible light leakage especially if I were using a long lens. So I put my shortest lens, a Schneider 90mm, in place and continued setting up for...
